Right now, Winchester City Council members generally refuse to respond to public comments during council meetings. There is no formal public mechanism for dialogue between residents and their representatives. Decisions that reshape our neighborhoods, our schools, and our streets should be made in conversation with the people most affected.

As your Ward 4 City Council representative, I commit to…

• Hosting regular town halls in Ward 4 in accessible locations, in English and Spanish - so residents can ask questions, raise concerns, and shape decisions before they’re made

• Showing up at community events, tienditas, bus stops, and wherever Ward 4 people are 

• Treating public comment as the beginning of a conversation, not a formality

• Full transparency on votes, decisions, and who is applying pressure behind the scenes

• Actively seeking input from those who have historically been left out of the process

• Asking the hard questions, while doing the research and data analysis to back them up— no matter whose feathers get ruffled

The decisions may be made at the council level, but it is the community who will live with those decisions. Therefore, the people must have a real voice in the decision-making process. I want to hear from you, and I want to be your voice in the city government.
